Welcome to February and with February brings one of my favorite holidays, Valentines Day. Are you looking for something different this year for Valentines day, rather than the same old card, chocolates, flowers, dinner and a movie? I’ve pulled together a few things that may give you and your sweetheart a different percepective of Valentines day.
If you’re going to be staying in town this Labor Day weekend and want something to do, I would suggest A Taste of Colorado in Civic Center Park – Downtown Denver. It runs from today, Friday Sept. 4 thru Monday, Sept 7th.
There is something for everyone to enjoy, music, food and beverages, arts & crafts and there are even things for the kids. I’m excited about the food not sure about the chocolate covered bacon from Famous Dave’s. Love chocolate and a fan of bacon, together, not sure, but am willing to try it. So if there is anythings you want to try but haven’t take a trip down to Civic Center Park. To get a list of bands that will be playing or food to try go to A Taste of Colorado for map and any other information you may need.
Enjoy and have a safe weekend.
Some of you may have noticed that this year the Parade of Homes has changed. This year it will be Denver Luxury Home Tour, instead of going to one subdivision/neighborhood to see 10 gorgeous homes this year you can see homes throughout the metro area from Niwot to Castle Rock, you can take a month to look at these home and go at your own pace. What a great way to get decorating idea and if you’re thinking about doing a little remodeling, it’s a great way to see what the latest and greatest in homes are being done. The price for this great adventure is $15.00 and kids under 12 are free.
Tickets can be purchased online at Denver Luxury Home Tour or at King Soopers. You will take your voucher to one of the homes in exchange for a Tour Passport book, the Passport will allow you into each home once during the 5 week run. Now enjoy the tour. The tour runs from June 5th through July 5th, Friday – Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
